One of the best ways to “see” a mine is through the exploratory cores drilled as they characterized the ore body. To date, based that exploration, they have removed about 40 billion tons of rock over the last one hundred years. That’s a lot of rock! And, there’s at least a couple hundred more years of mining to do too!
Today we are looking at example sections from a core drilled diagonally across the main units.
