Another invigorating drive later we are at our lodgings in Santiago. It took sometime to gather everyone together after our latest foray into South American urban driving, but finally we are here…

Our horse ride through the mountains brings to an end the main portion of our Chilean geology filed trip. After this we’ll head to Santiago for the evening and have some free time tomorrow before our flight. 

Thanks to everyone who helped make this trip possible. Special thanks to those who contributed funds in memory of Boris Avdeev; those funds covered the cost of today’s activities, an event we are sure Boris would have enjoyed.
